The Next Leg of Our Journey

"Life is about changes, nothing ever stays the same." The next leg of our journey has finally got a good start! Karl and I have bought a beautiful piece of property and we are building our dream home! The process has seemed very slow, but looking back it has went quite quickly. We purchased the ground, nearly 40 acres,at the end of Novemeber, and we immediately started clearing Russian Olives to make a 1500 foot driveway up to the place where we desired to have our home sit. After months of phone calls, paper work, county meetings, and lots of signatures for the bank, WE ARE ON OUR WAY!

I thought it might be fun to share our progress with you:

Our beautiful property!
Remember: Beauty is in the eye of the beholder!

Yes, you guessed it, our VERY LONG driveway!
Right in front of this hill is where we are building our house.
The kids had a great time trying out the sleigh rididng hills while their dad and grandpa built fence.

It was cold, and they also had a great time keeping the fire going so they could stay warm.

Our hole is dug! The excitement is growing!

The footers are being framed and because Karl was out of town working, the responsibility of getting the casing for the electrical under the foundation fell to Grandpa Boyd and Jax. Jax is learning a lot about hard work and responsibility.

We now have footers, as you can see and they are framing up the walls. They should be poured by next wend. We will keep you posted.

Love you all.

Happy Valentines Day Baby!

It is Valentines Day already, and I haven't even went to bed yet. I hope I'm the first to wish you a Happy Valentines Day. I have to admit Tammie inspired me in coming up with this idea, but it was so sweet and I thought it would be a great Valentine. I have had a lot of fun putting this slide show together. I do you love you and I thank my Heavenly Father everyday for you. I want everyone to know what an amazing husband I have. I can't wait to see you. Thanks for taking such good care of us, ecspecially me! Drive home safely.
